Knock out the King tournament comes back after COVID-19

HÀ NỘI — The Petrolimex KOK- Knock out the King will be back in action this weekend with remarkable changes that create tougher challenges for racers.

After a three-year absence due to the pandemic, the fourth edition will be held on December  二 四- 二 五 at the Việt Nam Ethnic Village of Culture and Tourism in Đồng Mô, a suburb of Hà Nội.

Thirty teams will compete in the knock-out format in a designed track that allows them to reach the highest speed of  一 三0km per hour and show off their off-road skills.

A purse of VNĐ 三00 million the prize for racers, of which the winner will walk away with VNĐ 七0 million along with other gifts.

In this year's tournament, organisers will also hold events for Adventure and Enduro bikes with competitors from  六0 teams registered.

Nguyễn Thanh Hải, head of the organising board, said the tournament will meet the demands of motorsport lovers, creating a new and different competition for athletes besides other events such as the PVOIL Vietnam Offroad Cup and LAAN Challenge The Mountain. 

He added that the Petrolimex KOK will also help athletes become familiar with and gradually gain access to regional and international rally competitions in the near future. — VNS
